Quick Tip: Publishing short-links for your apps on iTunes
Thought I’d share a quick tip on how to publish easy to read iTunes short urls for your apps. Normal standard URLs for your apps appear as:http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ocarina/id293053479?mt=8
But if you want to provide an easier to read and remember URL, Apple provides three types of short-urls:
Company name
http://appstore.com/companyName (i.e http://appstore.com/doronkatz)
Apps by company
http://appstore.com/companyName/appName (i.e http://appstore.com/doronkatz/iBulkBill)
App name
http://appstore.com/appName (i.e http://appstore.com/ibulkbill)
Quite easy and perfect for tweeting, or putting on your website in a prominent location.
